Precious Metal One and its affiliates consider your privacy one of our utmost concerns. This Privacy Notice outlines our current policies and practices regarding how information about individual customers is collected and used. We will send existing customers an updated Privacy Notice on an annual basis; also should any portion of our current policies and practices change you will be sent a revised Privacy Notice in advance, thus providing you with sufficient notice to respond prior to the effective date of the change.
How we obtain information. Precious Metal One obtains most of the information we need directly from you on your application or other forms that you complete, or from those you have authorized to provide information to us in connection with providing you with account updates and servicing.
Information we collect. The type of information Precious Metal One may obtain falls into the following general categories:
• Information that we receive from you on applications or other forms;
• Information about your transaction with us, our affiliates or others; and/or
• Information we receive as the result of investigations and/or audits that we may perform.
Information we disclose. Precious Metal One does not disclose any nonpublic personal information about our customers or former customers to anyone, except as permitted by law. Examples of disclosures permitted by law include, but are not limited to, disclosures to organizations, including our affiliated companies and/or companies that provide account update and services for us on or on our behalf, and disclosures you have authorized us to make.
How we protect the confidentiality and security of nonpublic personal information. Precious Metal One restricts access to nonpublic personal information about you to those who need to know that information in order to provide you with our products, as well as services relating to the trading and financing of physical commodities. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with United States regulations to guard your nonpublic information.
Independent Introducing Dealers and Account Executives. The introducing Dealers who represent Precious Metal One products and services are independent. Your independent introducing broker may gather and retain customer information, and financial information about you. The use and protection of that information by your independent introducing dealer is your independent introducing dealer’s responsibility. We are not responsible for the information the introducing dealer may collect. If you have questions about whether or how your independent introducing dealer uses or discloses such information, please contact your account executive or the manager of the Independent Introducing Dealer.
Changes to our Privacy Notice. Precious Metal One policy about obtaining and disclosing information may change from time to time. We will provide you with notice of any material change to this policy before we implement the change and at least on an annual basis.
